3 PINOY PUGS BOW IN TOKYO

THREE Pinoy boxers suffered separate knockouts against their Japanese rivals last Dec. 19 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Jason “El Nino” Pagara (40W-3L-1D, 25 KOs)of ALA Stable lost by a 6th round technical knockout to Yuji Fukuchi in their battle for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Super Lightweight title in the main event.
The 29-year old Pagara, a former WBO International super lightweight champion, had earlier failed to make the weight limit and had already lost his chance to win the title.
Super bantamweight Markquil “Gunz” Salvana (13W-5L-0D, 7 KOs) and flyweight Lester Abutan (12W-7L-3D, 6 KOs) also suffered knockouts in the undercard.
Salvana of Sanman Gym-General Santos City was stopped by Yuta Nakagawa by a 4th round knockout while Abutan of Laguna bowed to Ryota Yamauchi via a 4th round technical knockout.
