4 UNDEFEATED SANMAN FIGHTERS NOW TRAINING IN MIAMI

PHILIPPINES — Four undefeated fighters of the Sanman Boxing Stable from General Santos City are now training in Miami, Florida, USA.
Harmonito “Hammer” dela Torre (19-0, 12 KOs), Mike “Magic” Plania (14-0, 7 KOs), John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde (19-0, 10 KOs) and Reymart “Gensan Assassin” Gaballo (16-0, 14 KOs) are now training with Cuban coach Moro Fernandez since Monday.
The four promising fighters had arrived in Miami on May 27 and were met by Fernandez together with assistant trainer Lazaro Jimenez.
“This is the start of their campaign in the United States. They will be trained by a good trainer and I’m sure they will become better fighters,” said Sanman chief executive officer Jim Claude “JC” Mananquil.
Fernandez, a Cuban junior Olympic boxing trainer has trained WBC Super World super bantamweight champion Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs), WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight champion Luis “King Kong” Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs) and former interim WBA World super featherweight and WBA world lightweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (26-2-0, 17 KOs).
Jimenez, on the other hand, is a former trainer of the Brazilian Olympic boxing team.
“(The) Future is bright for all of them! We will announce their fights very soon,” said Manangquil.
Dela Torre, a former WBF World super featherweight title-holder, has already been training under Fernandez since May last year and has fought twice in the US.
The 23-year old Dela Torre first beat Puerto Rican Guillermo Sanchez by a majority decision on May 27, 2016 at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, New York.
Dela Torre had improved in his next fight via a convincing unanimous decision win against Mexican Jose Luis Araiza on tNovember 11 at the WinnaVegas Casino & Resort in Sloan, Iowa.
He then went home to Gensan to spent Christmas with his family.
Plania and Moralde both previously won last February 26 at the Lagao gym in Gensan. The 20-year old Plania, a former WBF International bantamweight champion retired Philippine Boxing Federation light flyweight king Jetly Purisima in the fifth round.
Moralde, 23, former WBF International featherweight title-holder pummeled to submission former PBF champion Philip Parcon in the third round.
Moralde, a native of Davao City is also a former WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental featherweight, WBF International super bantamweight and Philippine Boxing Federation super bantamweight champion.
Gaballo, 20, won the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council super bantamweight last October 10 in Tupi, South Cotabato via a 1st round knockout against Manot Comput of Thailand.
He previously TKO’d Jerson Luzarito in the 2nd round last December 4 at the Robinson’s Mall Atrium in Gensan.
