MANANGQUIL, WAMINAL MAKE WEIGHTS IN POLOMOLOK

POLOMOLOK, South Cotabato — Ben Mananquil of Sanman Boxing Gym from General Santos City and his opponent Jess Rhey Waminal of ALA Boxing Gym from Cebu both made their weights yesterday for their much-awaited 12-round title fight for the vacant interim Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) bantamweight title (Sept. 9) at the Polomolok Gym.
Mananquil tipped the scales at 118 lbs. while Waminal only submitted 116 lbs.
Meanwhile, defending IBF Youth super flyweight champion Jade Bornea of Sanman-Amoy Stable and challenger Samuthra Sitharan of Thailand also passed the scales at 114 and 113 lbs., respectively for their own 12-round championship bout.
