Lightweights Nick Hein and Luigi Vendramini will meet inside the Octagon at UFC’s upcoming show in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 1st, the promotion announced Monday. Combate first reported the news.
Hein (14-4-1, 1 no-contest) is looking to rebound from losses to Davi Ramos and Damir Hadzovicin 2018. “The Sergeant” will compete in Europe for the fifth time since joining the UFC in 2014. In the past, he won three of four UFC fights in Germany with decisions over Drew Dober, Lukasz Sajewski and Tae Hyun Bang.
Vendramini (8-1) made his Octagon debut in September, replacing Belal Muhammad on a short notice welterweight bout against Elizeu Zaleski in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to the second-round TKO loss to “Capoeira”, “The Italian Stallion” racked up a perfect 8-0 card as a professional with eight finishes.
UFC Stockholm will take place at the Ericsson Globe Arena and feature Alexander Gustafssonversus Anthony Smith in the main event.
