MAKATI, Metro Manila   —     All fighters successfully made weight for Saturday’s WBA title battles, scaling-in exactly at the limit of their divisions.   

In the intriguing main event, unbeaten world-ranked ArAr “Asero” Andales (9-0, 2 KO’s) of the Quibors Boxing Gym stepped-in at 105 lbs for the first defense of his  WBA Asia Minimumweight Title against more-experienced southpaw Cris Ganoza (17-2, 8 KO’s) of Cebu’s Big Yellow Stable, who also scaled-in at hundred five pounds for the well-matched 10-rounder collision.  The rumble is undoubtedly a very tough mission for both men. 

ArAr Andales Made 105 lbs looking focused and serious to Defend his WBA Asia Belt

During the official weigh-in ceremony staged today at the Games and Amusement Board (GAB ) head office in Makati, the two warriors looked focused and in excellent physical shape, both gunning for a victory a battle that not only involves Asian WBA minimumweight supremacy, but also a berth in the WBA world rankings.

The 19-year-old Andales, a laser-focused Warai Warrior born in paradisiacal Northern Samar is guided by his skillful coach former boxer Jun Labandia; while the challenger Ganoza is accompanied by popular Cebu trainer Christopher “PingPing” Tepora.

The clash is one of the two WBA Asia title belts being disputed in Quibors Boxing Promotions’ Road To Greatness set for Saturday, April 13, in Bacoor, Cavite.  It’s a thrilling show that no boxing fan in Cavite can afford to miss. 👍👍

In the ten-rounder co-feature, tough man “The Bull” Alphoe Dagayloan (12-2-5, 5 KO’s) of Dipolog looked in top condition for the first defense of his WBA Asia Flyweight strap against 20-year-old attacker Esneth Domingo (11-0, 6 KO’s) from the famed Cebu’s ALA Gym.
Both men weighing-in at identical 112 pounds, and can’t wait to climb the ring for combat 💥💥  

Dagayloan is taller, has longer wingspan, and is trained by head coach Labandia.    He also has more fights that his Domingo, he is a confusing hard-to-figure-out southpaw, and has won by KO in Russia.

In contrast, Esneth Domingo is undefeated in eleven combats.   He also very well-prepared by his knowledgeable and popular ever-smiling uncle Michael “Bruce Lee” Domingo at the ALA Gym.

Also seeing action is 20-year-old Quibors featherweight Rustom Doronio (4-1-1, 3 KO’s), scaling-in at 125 pounds for his war against 126-pounder Wilford D. Wade (5-2-2, 2 KO’s) from the beautiful northern Mindanao City of Iligan in Lanao del Norte Province.
The battle marks Wilford Wade’s return to the square ring after an almost 4-year hiatus; making fans wonder if the 29-year-old Mindanao man will show severe ring rust or not, and how his distance will be?  

In contrast, Doronio has been active, scoring a draw in his last rumble last January.    The Doronio-Wade fight story is a 6-chapter unpredictable saga.  Who will come out victorious?

In welterweights, Weljon Mindoro of the Quibors Stable recorded 145 lbs for his very first pro fight; while his opponent, unheralded Jerry Kalaw (0-12) of Lipa City, Bantangas, stepped-in five pounds heavier at 150 pounds.   Their duel is a four-stanza symphony of leather that might not go the distance.

Furthermore, debutant boxer Romer Pinili tipped the official GAB scaled at 132 pounds as his journeyman foe Oscar Lim (0-13) from the famed Industrial Port City of Calabarzon, Batangas City, registered 130 lbs for their 4-chapter melee.

For the first bout of the evening, rookie fighter Jerome Baloro registered 106 pounds against 104 lbs made by Ryan Fullero of Green City Batangas.   This lighting-speed action battle is a four-rounder war that promises total action.

The entertaining afternoon of boxing is supervised by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB ) Boxing Chief Dioscoro “June” Bautista together with experienced men of boxing Antonio “Tony” Comia and Rafael “Raph” Dioknos.

Referees for the WBA Asia are experienced third men Ferdinand Estrella of Laguna and Silvestre “Robocop” Abainza.

The WBA Asia double-header Road to Greatness Saturday, April 13, is a promotion of Joseph Quibral of Quibors Boxing in partnership with manager Orlando “Orly” Borcelango, promoter Gerry Balmes and the matchmaking effort of Gaudencio “Ding” Alipalo.
