Despite doubts about his fighting future, UFC superstar Conor McGregor has stated he doesn’t think he will fully be able to walk away from fighting.

McGregor (21-4) claimed he was walking away from the sport “formally known as Mixed Martial Art” last month. He last fought at UFC 229 in October, where he lost by fourth-round submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov. “The Notorious” didn’t fight in the UFC in 2017, but endeavored into boxing and fought Floyd Mayweather, losing by TKO in the tenth round.

The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion replied to a fan on Twitter who questioned why he would fight again.

I hear you but I love it dearly. If I am being honest with myself I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away from fighting.
We are all fighters in this world and each of us will be fighting for the rest of our time here. So why not do it live on PPV baby. Pop a bottle!Ryan@rpm1220Even though I love @TheNotoriousMMA and would love to see him fight again in the @ufc however at this point…why? just keep investing and getting richer!25.5K3:49 AM – Apr 29, 2019Twitter Ads info and privacy2,816 people are talking about this

“I hear you but I love it dearly. If I am being honest with myself, I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away from fighting.” McGregor’s tweet read. “We are all fighters in this world and each of us will be fighting for the rest of our time here. So why not do it live on PPV baby. Pop a bottle!”

When rumors of a fight between McGregor and Donald Cerrone circulated last month, McGregor said he would be open to a fighting in a co-main event slot, if he was granted rightful shares in the UFC. However president Dana White shot these claims down, saying McGregor would never get them.
