Daniel Lewis, a 25-year-old super middleweight prospect and 2016 Olympian from Australia, has signed a deal with Top Rank.

Representing Australia in Rio, Lewis won his first round matchup against Poland’s Tomasz Jabłoński before losing in the second round to Uzbekistan’s Bektemir Melikuziev, who went on to win silver at middleweight.

He’s had just one pro fight so far, debuting on March 23 and beating Thailand’s Sanong Seepongsert via second round knockout.

As you can see, he had no problem with that first pro fight, drilling Seepongsert with several clean blows, leading to a pair of body shots finishing things.

“I’ve had 150 amateur fights, I went to the Commonwealth Games in Scotland, Olympic Games in Rio, two world championships, I’ve won the Australian title seven times,” he said before that pro debut.

“My fight style would be more of an aggressive fighter,” Lewis said. “I love to take it to an opponent, make it an exciting fight. I’m trying to be more relaxed now in the pros — six rounds, eight rounds, more rounds now. In the amateurs it’s only three rounds. Still be aggressive, but not so crazy, set my punches up properly.”

“He’s by far one of Australia’s brightest prospects we have at the moment,” former fighter-turned-promoter Will Tomlinson said before Lewis’ debut. “It’s going to be good to see how he transitions from his amateur pedigree into the pros. From what I’ve seen so far, he’s definitely got the style that I feel like can translate into the pros.”
