DAVAO CITY — Denver “The Excitement” Cuello of Iloilo stopped Detnarong
Omkrathok of Thailand in the 2nd round to retain his Asia Boxing
Federation (ABF) bantamweight title last night (Aug. 3) at the Brgy. Vergara
Covered Court in Mandaluyong City.It was the 38th victory with 26
knockouts against 5 losses and 6 draws by the 32-year
old Cuello. Omkrathok suffered his 10th loss against three wins.Cuello
earlier won the vacant ABF bantamweight title by a TKO over Jack Amisa of
Indonesia in the 2nd round last March 8 in Angono, Rizal.Meanwhile,
heavyweight Eric Pen of Cambodia knockout David Koswara of Indonesia in
the under card.The 26-year old Pen, who is a resident already of California,
USA has four wins without defeat while Koswara has 16 losses with 12 wins
and 2 draws. The promoters of the “Showdown in Mandaluyong” are Brico
Santig and Ermelito Nacar of Highlang International Boxing Promotion and
