DAVAO CITY — Former World Boxing Association (WBA) Interim
bantamweight champion Raymart Gaballo has just landed in Los Angeles to
step-up his training for his coming Premier Boxing Champion (PBC) debut
fight on Aug. 31 in the US.
The 22-year old Gaballo (21W-0L-0D, 18KO) wll join the training camp of
fellow Sanman fighter Romero “Ruthless” Duno (20W-L1-0D, KO15).Gaballo
is trained by Cuban coach Moro Fernandez while Duno is under the
tutelage of former world champion Rodel Mayol.“I’m happy to back in the
US to train more intensively,” said Gaballo.”I need to adapt to the time and
weather so I will be comfortable during my fight'” he added.Gaballo
recently TKO’d Yuya Nakamura of Japan in the 2nd round last Feb. 9 in
Pasay City.Duno, on the other hand, is also being negotiated to fight on Sept.
14 under a Golden Boy Promotions big event.
He has also been training non-stop with Mayol. He last technical decision
on Juan Antonio Rodriguez in the 9th round to win the vacant WBO NABO
light title last May 16 in Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.“I am
happy to train long before fights. I am always in condition to fight
whenever I am asked just like a soldier,” said Duno.Duno said that he is
