Caparello TKOs Papuni in 8th

SOUTHPAW Blake “II Capo” Caparello of Australia scored a technical

knockout in the 8th round orthodox fighter Reece Papuni of New Zealand to

retain his World Boxing Association (WBA) Oceania light heavyweight title

last Aug. 9 at The Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Australia.The 32-year

old Caparello registered his 30th win and the 13th knockout against 3 losses

and 1 draw while Papuni, 31 suffered his 3rd loss against 13 wins.Caparello

won the WBA Oceania light heavyweight title by taking it away from

Reagan Dessaix of Australia by a unanimous decision last Feb. 22.The

promoters are Brain Amatruda of Big Time Boxing and Sam Labruna of SLB
