Brazilian legend Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has booked himself another home date.

Competing in his native Brazil for a sixth straight time, “Minotouro” will fight Trevor Smith in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Sao Paulo at Nov. 16. MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz confirmed with sources that the bout is verbally agreed upon and Smith also confirmed the bout via social media.

The matchup was first reported by Combate.

In his five previous trips to Brazil, Nogueira has alternated wins and losses, most recently losing via first-round KO to Ryan Spann in May. The 43-year-old owns a 6-6 record in the UFC and is 23-9 overall.

Smith (15-9) will be moving up to 205 pounds to face Nogueira. He has competed 11 times in the UFC, going 5-6, and is just 1-3 in his last four fights. In 2018, Smith suffered back-to-back decision losses to Zak Cummings and Elias Theodorou.
