ESPN+, 11:00 am ET, Aliu Bamidele Lasisi vs Norbelto Jimenez. An MTK Global card from Dubai, also featuring tune-up returns for TJ Doheny and some prospects. These shows frankly aren’t usually much to watch. BLH might have live coverage.
Telemundo, 11:35 pm ET, Armando Torres vs Juan Alejo.
Saturday, Mar. 7
DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, Scott Quigg vs Jono Carroll, Zach Parker vs Rohan Murdock, Hughie Fury vs Pavel Sour, Anthony Fowler vs Jack Flatley. Quigg-Carroll should be a good watch in the main event. The rest of the show is what it is. Parker’s an unbeaten super middleweight prospect; Murdock in an Aussie fighter who has stayed at home for most of his career and built up a record. Fury is a dreadful bore and once again scaling his competition way back after losing to someone good. Fowler is Fowler. BLH will have live coverage.
ESPN+, 3:00 pm ET, Danny Dignum vs Alfredo Meli, Shaquille Day vs Kaisee Benjamin. A minor WBO belt is on the line at 160 in the main event.
FOX, 8:00 pm ET, Adam Kownacki vs Robert Helenius, Efe Ajagba vs Razvan Cojanu, Frank Sanchez vs Joey Dawejko. No FS1 prelims for this show, which was also the case for the last FOX show (Plant-Feigenbutz), and wouldn’t exactly surprise me if that’s more the case going forward for these frankly “lesser” FOX shows. Kownacki is in line for a title shot of some kind at some point, in theory, except now PBC have zero hold on any of the heavyweight titles. Helenius is long past his best days and his best days turned out to not be that great in the first place. Ajagba and Sanchez are both prospects facing veterans. BLH will have live coverage.
