Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez (51-3-2, 28 KO) will return to boxing after six years of inactivity against Spain`s José Miguel Fandiño (15-6 , 8 KO), on August 21, at the Malecón stadium , in Cantabria, Spain.
“See you in Cantabria. See you in Torrelavega. See you on the Malecon,” wrote “Maravilla” on his social networks. The last bout of Martínez, 45, was against Miguel Cotto, involving a defeat in June 2014, at Madison Square Garden in New York. In the Torrelavega card, the undefeated Sergio García (31-0, 27 KO), will fight against a rival to be announced, and the former super bantamweight world champion Kiko Martínez (40-9-2, 28 KO), will face Otto Gámez (19-3, 14 KO).
