This morning, a very special guest, Jaime Munguia, who` s establishing himself as one of Mexico’s brightest boxing stars.
Jaime took us on a journey through time to those years of his childhood, when he discovered that he wanted to be a boxer. Inspired by the great stars of the ring Muhammad Ali, Julio César Chávez, and Floyd Mayweather jr. Jaime at 14 years old was already in the national team as from a very tender age he showed a lot of talent. Too young to be able to fight at the London 2012 Olympics, Munguía decided not to wait another four years and therefore debuted as a pro.
Munguía had always been under the watchful eye of his father; However, between the two of them, they decided that Erik Morales would be the trainer who would take him to the next level.
Jaime cannot forget the day he was crowned world champion when he defeated Saddam Ali, a night he always dreamed of and which became one of his best memories.
Ambitious to continue advancing, Jaime is in search of great challenges. Among them is facing Saul Alvarez, Gennady Golovkin, and Jermall Charlo. It’s his intention is to continue adding weight category plaudits to his record.
In keeping with the tradition of these “One to One” fireside chats, Jaime set his imagination to create his ideal boxer.
