Four of the greatest flyweight contenders at Brave Combat Federation will headline Bahrain’s biggest Mixed Martial Arts stage tomorrow, September 24.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship American fighter Jose Torres banners the show in a square fight against fellow American Sean Santella in a Flyweight showdown.

Torres’ last fight one year ago at Brave saw a unanimous decision win against Amir Albazi. His only loss in his professional career came before that when Alex Perez knocked him out in the first round at the Dillashaw versus Garbrandt at UFC 227. Santella on the other hand is coming from a three-win steak at Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

Coming from a three-win streak like Santella, Brazil’s Flavio De Queiroz will face Russia’s Velimurav Alkhasov also in the Flyweight division. De Queiroz saw his last win one year ago at Brave CF 25 in a first-round arm-triangle choke while Alkhasov suffered his first defeat in a split decision against Zach Macovsky in January of this year at Brave CF 34 in Slovenia.

Bahrain’s Hamza Kooheji will try his luck for a 4th-win streak when he faces Wales’ Aidan James whose only loss came early at the first round against Cameron Else on July 2019 at Brave CF 24. Kooheji has 6 wins with one loss at Brave since he joined the promotion in 2016. Both fighters will battle it out at catchweight.

David Jacobsson of Sweden is determined to get his 3rd win at Brave CF after two imposing consecutive wins on August 2020, whilst French Ibrahim Mane needs to prove he is not easy to take out despite his two losses at Brave on December 0f 2018 and of 2019.

Polish Maciej Gierszewski will mettle it out against Filipino Rolando Dy in the Lighweight bout of the night. Gierszewski’s record impresses his team mates and foes alike as he is a man who has not seen the third round, as all of his wins including his losses happened in the first or second round. His recent win against Bogdan Mihai Suru in July of this year saw a first round knock-out coming from his barrage of punches. Filipino pugilist Rolando Dy will get in and try to steal the show albeit Dy himself comes from two first-round knock out losses in his last two fights.

Curtain raisers Ali Yaqoob of Bahrain will see his 13th amateur MMA fight against India’s Ariz Ahmed who shows two wins also in amateur. Said fighters will clash in the amateur Featherweight bout.
