José Oliver Gómez, advisor to the president of the World Boxing Association (WBA) and journalist Ludo Saenz Luaces met with the former president of Panama Ricardo Martinelli to talk important issue related to boxing in Panama.
The meeting with Martinelli focused on projects of the WBA aimed to benefit boxers and the sport as a whole in the boxing-loving Latin American country.
Gomez and Martinelli held a work meeting to plan a series of projects that will promote the improvement of boxing, as well as the training of boxers of both sexes and all ages.
Among these initiatives, are the building of more gyms in the country to benefit the athletes, as well as the organization of more events for boxers to remain active.
Martinelli was very visible interested. However, the former president has already participated in activities of the WBA.
During his time as president of Panama, he attended and supported the pioneer organization in carrying out various international events.
Gomez described the meeting as positive and said on behalf of the WBA that he is pleased to have made an approach with Martinelli. This is another important step in working for Panamanian boxing.
