DAVAO CITY – The Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) is now investigating the case of lightweight Eduardo “The Nightmare” Mancito of Jose Abad Santos against the Tanzanian promoter.

“Thank you for your email We will look into this matter, and I will return to you as soon as possible,” said David Maizner, Vice-President and General Secretary of UBO.

Promoter Brico Santig shared the email of Maizner in response to his email last Dec. 9.

“At least, they are working on it”, he said.

“Saka na forward natin sa Tanzania Boxing Commission for appropriate action” (Then we forward to the Tanzania Boxing Commission for appropriate action)said Santig.

Mancito formally submitted a letter of complaint to the Games and Amusements Board regarding Tanzania promoter Semunvu Selamani.

The 26-year old Mancito (18W-10L-2D, 9KOs) is complaining about why he fought for 12 rounds for the UBO World lightweight title fight against Salimu Jengo of Tanzania when what was agreed was they would fight for 10 rounds and the payment would be US$2,000.

Mancito was accompanied by Coach Allan Alegria, who also act as a witness. Mancito also returned Selamani’s additional payment of $250 or P12,000 and instead went to the Games and Amusement Board office to file the complaint.
