Luis Nery readying to defend the WBC title

World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion Luis “Pantera” Nery (31-0, 24KOs), fights Brandon Figueroa (21-0-1, 16KOs), topping the bill on May 15, at the Shrine Exposition Center, Los Angeles, California.

Nery won the WBC title last September 26, by defeating his compatriot Aaron Alameda, by unanimous decision with judge cards of 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113.

Figueroa comes from defeating Damien Vázquez by knockout in 7 rounds last September. It`s promoted by Premier Boxing Champions and will be broadcast on Showtime.
