Super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council, the English Terri Harper, will face the undefeated WBA world champion, South Korean Hyun-Mi Choi, in a unifying duel.
It`ll top the bill Saturday, May 15, at the AO Arena, Manchester, England.
Harper (11-0-1, 6 KOs) looked sensational when she stopped Norway’s Katharina Thanderz in nine rounds to retain her WBC crown last November at SSE Arena, Wembley.
Prior to this match, Terri had an exciting draw with Natasha Jonas at Matchroom Fight Camp in August retaining her world title.
Choi (18-0-1, 4 KOs), became world champion by defeating the Thai Siriwan Thongmanit, in May 2014, achieving successful defenses.
“It’s exciting that our dream of becoming the undisputed super featherweight world champion is taking another step toward reality with my first unification fight,” said Harper.
“I have waited a long time for the opportunity to fight for the WBC belt, it is a dream for me,” said Choi. “I’m very excited and looking forward to winning. My goal has been to unify my division and now the time has finally come.”
The fight, which is promoted by Matchroom Boxing, will be broadcasted on Sky Sports in the UK and on DAZN.
