DAVAO CITY – World Boxing Association Asia super flyweight champion Adrian “Wild Beast” Lerasan of Antipolo City had sparred with undefeated light flyweight Thanongsak Simsri (15W-0L) of Thailand at the Highland Gym Thailand.
The 22-year-old Lerasan (9W-4L-0D, 2KOs) will fight against Thanachai Charunphak of Thailand for the WBC Asia flyweight title on June 5 at WP Boxing Live- DAZN Matchroom.
The fight was originally set last May 1 but was postponed due to Covid-19.
“Handa na kahit anong oras para maka uwi na (Ready at any time to go home)”, said Lerasan.
Lerasan’s training is currently assisted by fellow Filipino and comeback boxer Joven “Ishihara” Jorda (18W-26L-4D, 15KOs), who is based already in Thailand.
“OK naman sa training (It’s OK with training)”, he said.
Jorda will also be the second during the fight after his original trainer was not given a go signal to fly with Lerasan to Thailand due to Covid-19.
