WBC #1 contender, Jaime Munguía was one of the special guests at the traditional “Tuesday Coffee” to talk about his possible elimination fight for the world title against Ukrainian Sergiy Derevyanchenko, in what would be expected a war from start to finish, as the winner would have the opportunity to face the middleweight WBC world champion, Jermall Charlo.
For Munguía, -if this fight happens- this would be a great opportunity, as he knows all about the boxing quality of Derevyanchenko, a fighter who has faced elite fighters, possessor of a great technique and strong combinations that he assured will test him and that will help him by building even more self-confidence and show people why he is where he is now.
Jaime, who assured that his life dream is to conquer the Green and Gold Belt, is excited to be able to get on the ring in a fight that would put him near the world title; However, he does not want to contemplate any further for the moment, since he knows that the Ukrainian fighter is a dangerous rival who must be studied with care and respected.
Munguía hopes that this fight can take place in late October or early November; However, he clarified that he has not stopped taking care of himself via his diet, his vitamin plan, and of course, in his workouts, so he can be fully ready for any challenge that comes his way.
For Mauricio Sulaimán, President of the WBC, Jaime is a young example for everyone, a fighter who despite his young age works with discipline, dedication, and respect for the sport, which has already led him to become one of the best fighters of today.
He expressed his admiration for Jaime and thanked him for his loyalty to the WBC, wishing that one day he can represent the Green and Gold Belt.
