Big Patrick Korte of Germany will fight Zaal Kvezereli of Georgia on Sept. 11 at the Dubois-Arena in Essen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
The 37-year-old Korte (17W-1L-0D, 14KOs) recently won the vacant International Boxing Organization Continental heavyweight title against Marino Goles of Croatia by a 1st round knockout last Sept. 14, 2019 at Essen.
He stopped Frank Bluemle of Germany in the 2nd round last Dec. 15, 2020 in Essen.
Kvezereli (4W-2L-0D, 3KOs), on the other hand, suffered two back-to-back losses this year.
He first suffered a TKO from Turkey’s Serdar Avci in the 2nd round last May 19 in Kiev.
The 23-year-old Kvezereli then lost by a 1st round knockout to compatriot Gueney Artak for the UBF European heavyweight title last July 17 in Alanya.
Meanwhile, undefeated cruiserweight Tim Voessing will battle Muhammadion Havotov in the 6-round undercard.
The boxing event is promoted by Sandro Baruth with Sebastian Tlatlik as the matchmaker. The German Boxing Association is the commission.
