Gervonta Davis, Pitbull Cruz Face Off During Presscon Accompanied by Floyd, Promising Sunday Excitement

Unbeaten KO King Gervonta “Tank” Davis and his coming-forward Mexican challenger Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz faced off for the first time during a promotional presscon, joined on the stage by promoter Floyd Mayweather Jr., both fighters promising fans an action-packed rumble worth of viewing.

Gervonta Davis m, who has been stopping opponents left ‘n fight in his ascending boxing career, is the super favorite among betting fans.

But that doesn’t disturb the quiet Mexican warrior who admitted during the presscon that yes, Gervonta (25-0, 24 KO’s) is the best in the world at 135, but he has been training so hard and more-than-eager to give him the biggest surprise. Can he do it?

“We shall see,” said the 27-year-old Gervonta, a man who has knocked out no less than 24 of his 25 opponents while capturing world title in 3 different divisions, how about that?

“I am motivated. I thank Gervonta Davis for giving me this opportunity to fight him, and I thank his team and Showtime.

“I consider Tank Davis a hard fighter, sure the strongest at lightweights, but he is not impossible to beat. I come to give a great fight”

About the rumble itself, the relaxed-looking Gervonta shared this:

“To be honest, Cruz being the underdog, I understand that. I have been that (underdog) too. I remember when my back was against the wall… I know that he is fighting not only for himself, but also for his family.

“It will be a big event, an exciting fight because Cruz is a coming forward fighter and I am a coming-forward fighter. So when you get those kind of fighters…. I want to see a crash.”

Both boxers behaved gentleman-like during the presscon, assuring fans that their battle will be a thrilling one.

Well, giving their aggressive style and the serious TNT power that both men pack in their blows, a knockout result highly likely, right? But who will stop who?

Floyd Mayweather, who is the fight’s promoter, invited boxing fans to watch Sunday’s clash for the WBA Lightweight World Title, a Title that way back the 1970’s belonged to the legendary “Hands of Stone” Roberto Duran.

How “Tank” Davis or “Putbull” Cruz would had done in the ring against the devastating “Hands of Stone?”

Davis vs Cruz will be live on Showtime PPV on Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (Monday morning here in Asia. Can’t be missed!
