Super popular “Gypsy King” Tyson Fury knows that he can not take a guy like Dillian Whyte lightly.
That’s what his promoter Bob Arum thinks, revealing that talks have already on going for Fury vs Whyte in early 2022.
This week, the WBC ordered Fury to begin negotiations to defend his title against Whyte, who is the mandatory challenger.
Bob Arum, who promotes Fury in the US, said this to Sky Sports:
“Why shouldn’t Fury respect Whyte?
“Heavy hitters drop bombs. If Fury does not respect it, he’s going to get in a lot of trouble.
“Fury is professional enough and a great fighter, and he knows he doesn’t take a guy like Whyte lightly.”
Whyte has been the # 1 in the WBC rankings, then lost, but regained his WBC interim champion status by winning HIS rematch against Alexander Povetkin.
Whyte is finally ready to get his first world title shot.
Will he be the one to defeat Tyson Fury, a feat no man on the planet has done..??
Arum added:
“Frank Warren “(Fury’s UK promoter) spoke with Tyson Fury, who wants to get in the ring in February or March,” Arum revealed.
“We are talking to Whyte now to come to an agreement to make the fight in the UK.
It will be a splendid fight and we are working hard to put it together,” the legendary Bob Arum promises.
