New Zealand former world champion Joseph Parker retained his WBO heavyweight Intercontinental defeating Englishman Dereck “War” Chisora by unanimous decision in a rematch done yesterday at the Manchester Arena, in Manchester, England.
Parker defeated Chisora by unanimous decision 114-112, 115-111 and 115-110.
The New Zealander did a better job, surpassed Chisora in much of the fight, and even sent him to the canvas in rounds 4, 7 and 8.
The win boosts Parker’s chances of getting a shot at the heavyweight world title in 2022. That’s what the strong Kiwi wants, but against who and when?
Not likely so soon. Because it seems that Usyk will defend agaInst Joshua and The Gypsy King will risks against White.
But we all know that things in boxing change faster and in more unpredictable ways than in any other sport.
Let’s wait and see who the tough Parker will battle next. What do you think?
