Unified WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO Lightweight Champion Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KO’s) received his shinning, brand-new WBA Super Champion Belt from WBA President Gilberto Mendoza and WBA presidential advisor Oliver Gomez during the plush gala dinner organized by the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame. Congratulations Devin!
The unbeaten 23-year-old American champion from San Francisco will be defending that strap, plus his other three, in a hot, much-anticipated rematch against tough nemesis George Kambosos Jr (20-1, 10 KO’s) on October 3 at the 15,000-seat Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, the venue where the Australian Open in played.
Will the skilled Devin Haney outclass and prevail over the aggressive Kambosos again?
Or will the “Ferocious” Greek-Australian coming-forward warrior this time be able to command actions, pressing and dominating Haney in the same way he won over Teofimo López in that memorable rumble last year?
