Lorenzo retires Tejones in 3rd round

French Guillaume Lorenzo retired Joe Tejones of Valencia City in the 3rd round to win the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International lightweight title last August 24, Wednesday at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

The 28-year-old Lorenzo kept on throwing his punches towards Tejones until the 3rd round.

Tejones, 25, tried to answer the body shots but failed. He finally quit after the 3rd round.

Lorenzo now has nine wins, four loses and six knockouts while Tejones suffered his 11th setback against 13 wins.

Meanwhile, Pablito Canada of Pagadian City stopped undefeated Michael Casama by a technical knockout in the 6th round in the main supporting bout.

Canada downed Casama twice in Round 5 and once in Round 6.
