MEXICAN NATIONAL POLICE FEDERAL TOURNAMENT STARTS

Five matches  were presented during the Inauguration of the 1st National Amateur Boxing  of the Federal Police Protection Service 2017.

This event was attended by its Commissioner Alfonso Ramón Bagur and Mauricio Sulaimán Sáldivar, President of the World Council.

An excellent array of quality fighters that fought some exciting and very competitive bouts. In today’s fights  there were 2 KO´s. All the matches were sanctioned by judges and referees from the WBC Amateur  program, which is led by Dr. Antonio Fernández Hernández.

In the first fight, in the welterweight division, Leonardo Bautista Dominguez defeated Jesus Elias Muñoz Montes, in the third round.

Elías Suástegui Lopéz defeated Alberto Berrocal Perez by TKO, whileCarlos Luis González Cruz defeated Víctor Magdiel Moreno Ramírez, by split decision.

Macedonio Sánchez Luna knocked out Marco Antonio Garcia Soto, with a powerful right hook at the very beginning of the fight, and Israel Merino Cruz won by KO over César González.

Mr.  Alfonso Ramón Bagur commented that boxing  offers physically improvement and also helps people with important lessons  that we can all applied  in life.

“As my good friend Don José Sulaimán said, boxing teaches about  life, surpasses us and teaches us how to win and  to lose. Every day boxing teaches us how to respect the law.”

Mauricio Sulaiman, thanked Mr. Bagur commented: “All boxers who take part in this tournament must know that they are already winners and this is a little recognition from the World Boxing Council to all of you, who bravely and selflessly take care of and protect the safety of Mexicans. We admire and deeply respect you for that. Having you  joining the sport of boxing, is wonderful. I am so very grateful for the leadership of Alfonso Ramón Bagur and I want this tournament to become special”

Legends of Mexican boxing and former WBC world champions, Attended. The star lineup was: Ultimo Ramos Zequeira, born on December 2, 1941, in Matanzas, Cuba; Carlos “Cañas” Zárate Serna and José Guadalupe Pintor Guzman.
