Miel “Silent Assassin” Fajardo of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur stopped Sarawut Jiamthong of Thailand in just seven seconds in the opening round to win the vacant Asian Boxing Federation flyweight title last December 28 at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok,

The 22-year-old Fajardo first threw two left jabs and followed by a left cross that was the final blow for Jiamthong.

The Thai could no longer stand up and remained lying down after the referee Kris Sanyadej was finished counting,

“Just for a moment, I didn’t expect it, I was surprised,” said Fajardo, who thanked his US-based manager Jose Monty Flores.

Fajardo, who is accompanied by trainer Ericxon Asilo, improved his record to 10 wins with one defeat, two draws and nine knockouts.

The 23-year-old Jiamthong suffered his third loss against seven wins.

Meanwhile, southpaw Ador “The Terminator” Torres of Magdalena, Sorsogon scored a 4th round technical knockout in 1:43 against Meechaiva Kaiwiset of Thailand to win the vacant ABF welterweight title.

Japanese Toshihiko Era TKO’d Silem Serang of Thailand in 1:51 of the 5th round to win the ABF light flyweight title.

The triple title-fight boxing show was promoted by Supanat Chanram, Tony Chen and Brico Santig.
