Elias Theodorou will take on Cezar Ferreira while Thiago Santos meets Jack Marshman in February.
A couple of middleweight bouts have been added to the UFC”s return to Halifax.
Super Lutas first reported a clash between Ultimate Fighter champions, Elias Theodorou and Cezar Ferreira, while Combate confirmed Thiago Santos will meet Jack Marshman on the same night.
TUF Nations middleweight champion, Elias Theodorou (12-1) was undefeated until he met Thiago Santos and dropped a unanimous decision back in December 2015. The Canadian rebounded from the loss with a unanimous decision win against Sam Alvey in June.
TUF Brazil 1 middleweight champion, Cezar Ferreira (11-5) was on the brink of being fired after a couple of consecutive KO losses to the likes of Sam Alvey and Jorge Masvidal, but was able to put together a three-fight winning streak in 2016, with wins over Oluwale Bamgbose, Anthony Smith and Jack Hermansson.
Once a rising contender in the middleweight division, TUF Brazil 2 vet, Thiago Santos (13-5), was on a four-fight winning streak, with three KO’s until he accepted a short-notice fight against Gegard Mousasi at UFC 200 and ended up being knocked out in the first round. He was later submitted by Eric Spicely in September.
Jack Marshman (21-5) made a successful UFC debut several months ago with a TKO victory over Magnus Cedenblad. He rides a seven-fight winning streak, with wins over UFC vet Che Mills and TUF: The Smashes vet, Bola Omoyele.
UFC Halifax is scheduled for February 19. The UFC has not announced a main event for the card yet.
