BANGKOK, Thailand. — In a hard-fought battle, Thailand’s unbeaten world ranked WBC Asia Super Bantamweight Champion Thattana Luangphon (a.k.a. ”Chainoi” 22-0-1, 15 KO’s), earned a unanimous decision win over tough and brave Cebuano Jess Rhey Waminal (16-9-1, 9 KO’s) to retain belt today Saturday July 29, in Bangkok, Thailand
There were no knockdowns nor cuts in the fight mostly dominated by the undefeated 26-year-old “Chainoi,” who hopes to get a shot at the 122 lbs world title.
It was a gallant, spirited effort from the Pinoy Waninal, who got the applause from the fans here in Thailand.
The 10-rounder title clash was staged by NKL Promotions live in Thailand on Thai Rath TV Channel 32.
