Satoru Kitaoka vs. Daron Cruickshank
Round 1 – Kitaoka with a superman punch early. Didn’t expect that. Long feel out process. Kitaoka’s legs are both taped from the ankles to above the knees, which is humourous. Cruickshank connects with a kick. Kitaoka responds with a right. Cruickshank with a right hook that wobbled Kitaoka a bit. Cruickshank pumping the jab but not committing to it. Head kick from Detroit Superstar, two right hooks from Kitaoka. Combo from Cruickshank and Kitaoka has a cut on his nose. Beautiful side kick to the gut puts Kitaoka down, but Cruickshank won’t engage him there and tells him to get up. Right high kick. Another right over the top scores for Cruickshank. Kitaoka’s nose might be broken. Kitaoka hasn’t shot for a single takedown, which is highly unusual for him. Straight right and right cross score. Low leg kick from Cruickshank. Kitaoka fires back with a right. Left hook now from the American. Kitaoka finally shot in for a takedown, but they fell through the ropes. They’re restarted in a similar spot and Kitaoka works from the top with two minutes to go. He’s rolls over and looks for a guillotine. Cruickshank taps! WOW! Kitaoka won like fourteen seconds of the fight but got the W.
Satoru Kitaoka defeated Daron Cruickshank by submission (guillotine choke), round 1
Vadim Nemkov vs. Alison Vicente (Openweight GP Reserve match)
Round 1 – Vicente got a takedown in approximately two seconds, but Nemkov got up quick. Now Nemkov is on top, landing big punches in the guard. More big punches and Vicente is done! That was brutal!
Vadim Nemkov defeated Alison Vicente by KO (strikes), round 1
Kanna Asakura vs. Alyssa Garcia
Round 1 – Garcia with an inside leg kick. Head kick but Asakura tied her up in the corner. She’s working very hard for the takedown but cornerman Josh Barnett is giving instructions and Garcia is executing them well. They exchange knees. Garcia ends up on Asakuras back. Couple of knees. Slow pace so far. Asakura squirmed and Garcia took back control with hooks. She’s looking for a choke in the corner. Punches. 15 seconds to go. Barnett now asks her to ‘punch her face off’. Garcia’s round.
Round 2 – Garcia throws a few strikes and clinches up. Asakura spins it around and grinds in the corner. Hard knee from Garcia. Garcia reverses and lands a bevy of knees. Some punches. Asakura trying to dig for something but can’t do much. Garcia looks for a kimura, then rolls to her back looking for another submission. Asakura avoids that and grinds from the top. Some hammerfists now, close to the horn. Probably Asakura’s round.
Round 3 – Garcia with a head kick. Asakura in on a takedown and they move against the ropes into the corner. They’ve worked in three different corners now. Knees from Garcia. Unexciting clinch work. Finally the ref separated them halfway through the round. Right for Asakura, and a big takedown. A few punches from Asakura, but Garcia manages to get back to her feet and drag her opponent to her corner. She gets her own takedown. Asakura with a reversal with 20 seconds to go, and jumps in with a punch. Garcia looking for a late armbar, but the horn goes. I’ll give it to Garcia.
Alyssa Garcia defeated Kanna Asakura by unanimous decision
Yusuke Yachi vs. Mario Sismundo
Round 1 – Yachi charges in with a flying knee and Sismundo is down! He’s back up and cracks Yachi with a left, but Yachi is back with a knee to the body and Sismundo is down. He’s not getting up, and it’s over. That was quick.
Yusuke Yachi defeated Mario Sismundo by TKO (knee), round 1
Tatsumitsu Wada vs. Kai Kara-France
Round 1 – Wada with an immediate low kick. Kara-France throwing straight rights and low kicks of his own. They’re beating each other up with calf kicks. Wada can’t get a takedown. Jabs from Kara-France. Two nice combos from Wada. Wada chops him down with a low kick. Uppercut and elbows inside from Kara-France. A right inside drops Wada! He’s up quickly though. Wada fires back. Kara-France with a couple of combinations, and he goes back to his own low kick. Two right hooks land flush. Another low kick from Wada and Kara-France is on a wobbly leg. Close round.
Round 2 – Kara-France is down again from low kicks 20 seconds in. He’s up, but he’s severely compromised. He has switched his stance. Jab and body kick from Kara-France. Wada kicks the leg again and he’s in the clinch briefly. Body punch from Wada now. Kara-France doesn’t have a lot on his shots now. Kara-France with a takedown and a kick to the face! Welcome to Japan. Kara-France wouldn’t jump into his guard though and the ref stood Wada up. As soon as he did, Wada chopped Kara-France down with yet another kick. Straight left from Kara-France. Wada in on a low single at the horn. Wada round.
Round 3 – Wada gets an early takedown, and works from the back with both hooks. He’s looking to secure a choke but he’s wedged up into the corner. Kara-France continuing to fight off choke attempts. Wada in complete control. Kara-France managed to get to his feet, but Wada stays on him like a human backpack. Kara-France tripped to flip-slam him, but no dice.
