TWO Filipino boxers are fighting on the eve of the New Year celebration on December 31 in Tokyo, Japan.
Light flyweight Vincent “Lizard” Bautista (5-5-3-1KO) is facing undefeated Japanese Masataka Tanuguchi (5-0-0-4KO) while minimumweight Junuel “Artroboy”Lacar (7-3-3-5 KO) takes on another undefeated Japanese Hiroto Kyoguchi (4-0-0-4 KO) both in 6-rounders.
They are accompanied by trainer Jury Noda and lady boxing promoter-manager Ace Mendoza of MP Highland Boxing Gym from Manila.
Bautista and Lacar are fighting in the undercard of the WBA super world super featherweight championship between Jezreel Corrales (20-1-0) and Takashi Uchiyama (24-1-1) at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.
It is promoted by Hitoshi Watanabe of Watanabe Promotions.
The main supporting bout pits Ryoichi Taguchi (25-2-1) and undefeated Carlos Canizales (16-0-0) for the WBA World light flyweight title.
Another exciting bout is the 12-round title-fight between Masayuki Ito (19-1-1) and Takuya Watanabe (30-6-1) for the OPBF super featherweight and WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight titles.
