Rested and fully recovered from WBC Fights of the Year against Takashi Miura and then Orlando “Siri” Salido, World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Francisco “Bandido” Vargas is ready to turn back the challenge of KO artist and paesano Miguel Berchelt, on January 28th at the Fantasy Springs Casino, in Indio, California.
Never in a dull or easy fight, Francisco says that the cuts on his brows have healed, repose has refreshed him, and for this fight, he’s left no stone unturned, trusting nothing whatever to chance.
Just as well, because 27 of Miguel’s 30 victories have come by way of KO, earning him the nickname of Alacran, and but one defeat. Francisco remains unbowed and undefeated with 17 of his 23 victories inside the distance and two draws.
Francisco says he confident, but not over confident and RAREING ready.
Fully focused on the next step in his career, he confirms the rematches with Miura and Siri are also inevitable!
