Juan “Churritos” Hernández briefly left his rugged camp at the Otomí Ceremonial Center to attend the WBC´s “Coffee Tuesday” for the 30 day pre-weighing in the run up to the fight for the vacant WBC flyweight title against undefeated Thai Nawaphon Sor Rungvisai.
The world title contender was satisfied and sure of his work in the gym, and he demonstrated it on the scale tipping: 55,700 kilograms.
With his sights set and focused firmly on the flyweight belt vacated by the Nicaraguan current WBC Super flyweight champion, Roman Gonzalez, Juan relies on his experience and work team to get the victory.
“You have to be prepared for the 12 rounds. He hits hard, so we have to go for the knockout. This is my great chance to conquer the dream of my life and I will not let anyone take it from me!” he vowed.
Fully conscious of the commitment of March 4, the team led by former world champion Isaac Bustos, explained they have focused on peak and teak tough physical condition and they’re even planning to prepare Juan to in similar sizzling climatic conditions to Thailand, for 15 days in the Port of Veracruz.
