ANDREW “Superstar” Selby kept his unblemished record by dethroning defending Filipino champion Adrin “The Jackal” Diale via a unanimous decision to capture the World Boxing Council (WBC) International flyweight crown last Sunday at the Olympia Kensington in London.
All three judges Ian John Lewis, Robin Dopieere and Massimo Barrovecchio scored identical 100-90 in favor of the hometown favorite Selby, who remained undefeated with eight straight wins and five knockouts.
Diale of the United Boxing Stable suffered his 11th defeat against 32 wins with 15 knockouts and 4 draws. He was accompanied by his Japanese manager Ryuta Kota, matchmaker Warren Elliot and trainer Jhun Agrabio.
The 28-year old Diale previously won the vacant WBC International flyweight title via a UD over Michael Enriquez last Dec. 3 in Palawan.
Selby, 28, previously stopped another Filipino Jake Bornea by a 7th round TKO last Nov. 18 in London.
