The World Boxing Council is joining the “Viral Mexico” campaign who`s main objective is to prevent crime through citizen motivation plus participation.
Dr. Eunice Rendón, who visited “Martes de Café” to talk about this project, explained that this initiative began in 2012 with the work of young people who from their communities seek to inspire and empower youth as part of the development of Mexico.
She explained commented that this is the time to seek unity, to work as a team and especially to demonstrate why we are a great country. So what better way to do it than through boxing, a sport that has proven its uplifting greatness.
Xochiltl Valderrama, head of the Red Viral program, explained the importance of publicizing and establishing good youth practices which encourage inclusion, as well as the development of a collective identity according to the needs of society.
She added that red VIRAL is a plural meeting point in which young people who work actively in art, sport, culture, environment and social innovation projects converge with the aim of encouraging citizen participation.
Dr. Rendón urged all Mexicans to join this campaign by expressing what Mexico represents for each of us via the #MexicoVIRAL hash tag.
