A pivotal strawweight matchup between top contenders Rose Namajunas and Michelle Waterson, as well as three other bouts, have been added to UFC on FOX 24. The news was announced on the UFC 208 broadcast on Saturday evening.
Namajunas is coming off a decision loss to Karolina Kowalkiewicz, who after that fight challenged for the belt against champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Prior to that, “Thug” was riding a three-fight winning streak with a decision over Tecia Torres and two submissions over Paige VanZant and Angela Hill.
Waterson most recently picked up the biggest win of her career, a first-round submission over the aforementioned VanZant in a main event slot on “big” FOX two months ago. Prior to that, she had been out since July 2015, when she had made her UFC debut against Angela Magana, due to injuries.

UFC on FOX 24 takes place live from Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., on April 15. A headliner has not been confirmed at this time.
