Junior welterweights Antonio Orozco (25-0, 16 KOs) and KeAndre Gibson (16-0-1, 7 KOs) have just been set to headline an April 1st card for Golden Boy, reports ESPN. The card will be the second installment of Golden Boy’s new series with ESPN, with this show airing live on ESPN Deportes at 9pm EST and a tape delay broadcast on ESPN2 at 11pm EST.

Orozco, 29, was in place as Terence Crawford’s mandatory challenger, but after his Dec. 16th fight with Fidel Maldonado Jr. was nixed the day before it was set to take place because Orozco fainted from dehydration, he was bumped from his mandatory position. Orozco will need to win a title eliminator in order to regain his mandatory status, but this is not one of those fights.

Speaking on the upcoming card, Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya had this to say:

“This 50-50 main event will help determine the future of the [junior welterweight] division,” Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya said. “I expect the winner of this fight will be positioned for world championship titles in the near future and the loser will find himself back in the pack of the division. Everything is on the line for both of these fighters.”

The co-feature of the card will see Mercito Gesta (29-1-2, 16 KOs) return from a year-and-a-half layoff to face Gilberto Gonzalez (26-3, 22 KOs) in another junior welterweight contest.

A few other Golden Boy prospects will also be featured on the card including junior featherweight Emilio Sanchez (13-0, 8 KOs), as well as featherweights Joet Gonzalez (15-0, 7 KOs) and Edgar Valerio (9-0, 5 KOs).
