He requested WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman, for an opportunity to contest the interim belt, while Francisco Vargas rests and recovers from his dramatic clash with Orlando Salido.

Regarding this request, Mr. Sulaiman, claimed he will take the proposal to the WBC Board of Governors, as he acknowledges Roman has all the merits to contest this belt while Vargas gets ready to fight again.
