THE WBC AND ROCK & BOX HOST A HISTORICAL NIGHT IN MADRID

On Saturday in the Spanish town of Fuente El Saz, Spanish promoter Rock & Box concluded its  Jose Sulaiman amateur tournament.

The extravaganza has been developed during 9 amateur cards. It  included nearly  200 amateur boxers and it  has counted with the the support and patronage of the World Boxing Council which has become a strong developer  of amateur and professional boxing in Spain.

At the end of the tournament, most of the  Spanish world champions were honored, including Javier Castillejo, José Legrá , Miguel Velázquez .

Also in attendance there were EBU champion Alfredo Evangelista, who was twice WBC heavyweight challenger  of the legend Larry Holmes and he also fought the  most important athlete of the 20th century, Muhammad Ali.

Young promoter Rock & Box (David Segovia & Jesús Boulaich) continue to demonstrate strong commitment to boxing and the WBC continues to demonstrate its total support for Spanish boxing. All finalists received a WBC medal and the winners also received a special belt, made for the occasion.
