UFN 90 post fight bonuses: Alvarez cashes in $50,000 bonus on top of title win

Check out who won the post-fight awards and bonuses for UFC Fight Night 90.

In what must have been a difficult decision, the UFC brass picked four fighters who put on outstanding performances at UFC Fight Night: dos Anjos vs. Alvarez. The following fighters received a $50,000 bonus check.

Fight of the Night: Alan Jouban def. Belal Muhammad by unanimous decision

Performance of the Night: Eddie Alvarez and Pedro Munhoz

In a wild fight, Jouban almost put away Muhammad several times in the first round. Jouban continued the onslaught in the second round, with Muhammad somehow surviving an incredible amount of shots. In the third round, Muhammad put the fight back onto Jouban, rocking him several times in wild exchanged. Both fighters slugged it out for the majority of the fight and put on an incredible show for Las Vegas.

Eddie Alvarez put on the performance of a life time against dos Anjos, finishing him in the first round and claiming the UFC Lightweight Championship. After rocking dos Anjos midway through the round, Alvarez followed up with flurries of strikes and a flying knee, finally forcing the ref to step in and stop the fight.On the biggest stage and the biggest fight of his life, Alvarez put away a man who ran through everyone he faced in the lightweight division in the past several years.

In a surprising move, the UFC awarded Pedro Munhoz a bonus despite several other spectacular finished on the card. Muhoz submitted Russell Doane early in the first round after a scramble on the ground led to a guillotine choke. Joe Duffy and Alberto Mina also had spectacular finishes, with Duffy getting a rear naked choke after knocking downMitch Clarke seconds into the fight. Mina put Mike Pyle away with an incredible flying knee followed up by strikes.
