TIGRE ALEJANDRA JIMENEZ SAYS SHE’LL KO CARLETTE EWELL IN FIVE

Smiling and supremely confident WBC female heavyweight Champion Alejandra “El Tigre” Jimenez predicts she’ll bounce and halt North Carolina challenger Carlette Ewell in five rounds, using the power play as a springboard to boost her undefeated career.

At the Zocalo weigh in, Alejandra was 102 kg, while Carlette was two kilos lighter. Determined to impress in front of her entire family and seventy thousand fans, Alejandra said: “Carlette seems moody and rather angry. Defeating her will be a trampoline for my career. She has more experience, but I’m faster, stronger and certainly more athletic. I’m very confident of the work I’ve put in. I’m also in my land. And I’m going to win in front of my people! I’ll never forget this night!”

A smiling, courteous and relaxed Carlette enthused: “Fighting for the WBC green and gold belt is a wonderful, and I’m grateful after so many years that they have given me the opportunity.

“For me, it’s going to be my experience, the power that I bring and just being able to overwhelm her. You’re going to see a lot of blood flying!   My thing is to go in there and give it my all with my God given abilities to do what I have to do. This is my job!”
