THE QUALIFYING BOXING TOURNAMENT UNIVERSIADA NACIONAL 2017 TOOK PLACE TODAY

Today it started the qualifying boxing tournament “Universiada Nacional 2017” at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. The action took place at the Doctor Alfredo Cuenca Ojeda Sports Facilities in Culiacan Sinaloa.

The president of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán, was in charge of inaugurating the qualifying tournament.  Mr. Mauricio Sulaiman also presented the Rector of the Univeristy, , Doctor Juan Eulogio Guerra Liera ,with a special edition gloves desiring him good luck during the tournament.

WBC President also presented the winners of the first posters contest against bullyng, obesity  and car texting,  with a recognition, they were: María José Salazar and Carlos Davidsmar Davizon Montoya,. It is worth mentioning that this event is organized by the University Welfare Unit, which is supported by the WBC.

“Taking this chance and counting with Mr. Sulaiman presence, we want to continue showing our commitment towards boxing development. The first stone  of what it will be the Gum Jose Sulaiman will be placed in the port of Mazatlan. We want to honor the memory of Don Jose” , Doctor Juan Eulogio Guerra Liera concluded.
