Two more bouts have been made official for the UFC’s return to Singapore on July 17.
Colby Covington has consistently called out Dong Hyun Kim recently, and the Division I wrestler will get his wish as he will be matched up with the #7 ranked welterweight on the event.
Covington has an impressive 6-1 record in the UFC, but will be taking a step up in competition as he looks to finally enter the welterweight rankings. His Korean opponent has won 7 of his last 8 UFC bouts, with his only defeat since 2012 being to current champion Tyron Woodley.
The second bout confirmed for the event is Chinese star Wang Guan finally having an opponent revealed. The Sanda champ, who has been called a ‘premier’ Chinese signing, will be facing tenured TUF standout ‘Bruce Leeroy’ Alex Caceres on his debut.
With the recent announcement of Dos Anjos vs Saffiedine and the signing of two undefeated Asian fighters, this raises the total to 9 bouts already set for the Singapore card. The main event has yet to be revealed, but seen below is the current line up for UFC Fight Night 111.
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Tarec Saffiedine
Andrei Arlovski vs. Marcin Tybura
Colby Covington vs. Dong Hyun Kim
Russell Doane vs. Kwan Ho Kwak
Ulka Sasaki vs. Justin Scoggins
Alex Caceres vs. Wang Guan
CJ de Tomas vs. Naoki Inoue
