WHO’S NEXT? 2 PRO BOXING SERIES JULY 30

THE Omega Pro Sports International is staging the “Who’s Next?” 2 Pro Boxing Series on July 30 at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu Atrium in Cebu City.

Undefeated Jack “The Golden Boy” Tepora of Omega Boxing Gym will be defending his WBO Asia Pacific Youth super bantamweight title against fellow Cebuano Bryan Capangpangan.

It will be the first title-defense for Tepora, who captured the vacant crown via a 5^th round knockout against Jason Tinampay last March 6 at Robinsons Cebu.

The 23-year old Tepora, who has 17 straight wins with 12 knockouts, is also the reigning Philippine Boxing Federation super bantamweight king. The southpaw captured the vacant PBF title by a unanimous decision against Andrew Palas last January 9 at Borbon Sports Complex in Cebu.

Capangpangan, on the other hand, has been on a roll after a slow start in his career. The 20-year old Capangpangan, who is now based in Iligan City, has 10 victories with seven knockouts, two losses and a draw.

He recently scored a UD win over Michael Bastasa last March 27 in Iligan.

OPSI Vice President Chad Cañares said “Who’s Next?” 2 Pro Boxing Series is also a double championship as Tepora’s stablemate Kenny Demecillo will be defending his WBF Asia Bantamweight title against Rambo Lagos.
