The Pakistani fighter, Muhammad Waseem (3-0, 3 KOs), will have the toughest of his career when he faces Filipino, Jeter Oliva (23-5-2, 11 KOs), for the WBC silver flyweight belt on Sunday.
Originally, the title on the line was going to be the WBC Asian, but after some developments it will be the WBC Silver green and gold belt, and with it, an important step up in the WBC rankings, ever closer to fight WBC champion, Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez.
Waseem, who is getting prepared in Las Vegas, with the great trainer, Jeff Mayweather, announced along with his promoter, Andy Kim, that they wont participate in the Olympic Games.
