“LOBA” AND “BARBY” AND A RIGHT OLD BARNEY!

A war of words dripping with the venom of pure hemlock, between Mariana “Barby” Juarez and Zulina “Loba” Muniz, which will surely lead to tempered fisticuffs in the non too distant future.

Poised to make the eleventh  defense of her WBC super flyweight world title, Zulina Muñoz clarified this primary objective. Number one for número uno is  May 13 against Guadalupe Martinez. But…the second is to conquer another division…. Namely the bantamweight, which is Mariana’s  strong, protective grip,

Mariana, who’s smiling, but far from amused, doesn’t  take this ambitious and audacious quip at all well from Zulina, who delivered it with a wolffish grin.

An animated two way a mi  manera between a right pair ensued, in which each promised the other a torrid encounter to forever remember.

Jibes countered by tongue in cheek hard line one liners, in tongue lashing style,, crackled with chile hot sparks at the railway Union HQ, heating the WBC’s Martes de Cafe, from simmering rate, to near boiling over point.

One accusing the other of only fighting mediocre opponents. The other firing straight back, snapping SHE had the chance to fight me, but passed it up.

One champion saying this back chat and back biting is  disrespectful in the build up to an upcoming fight. The other retorting that she’s going nowhere. “I’m here!!!”

One lady leaning into the other chin to chin. Cheek on jowl, with a well chosen barb spearheaded by a microphone,  jutting like a bayonet. The other leaning up, utterly unafraid but by  now visibly nettled!

Other fighters on the podium, grinning, chuckling and laughing in an atmosphere where you could almost imagine fur flying between two divas!
