Mexico’s Humberto ‘Chiquita’ González, Sweden’s Badou Jack, and Argentina’s Jesús Cuellar, on a pilgrimage to ‘Box Fan Expo’ this Saturday at the ‘Las Vegas Convention Center.’
They`ll share a generous portion of quality time during the ‘Cinco De Mayo’ weekend, which coincides with the mega fight between Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and Julio Cesar Chávez jr.
Badou Jack will be at the Mayweather Promotions stall, Gonzalez is heading straight for the World Boxing Council booth and Cuellar makes a beeline to the WBA pad. All of them will be signing gloves, photos, articles and fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with them.
Chiquita is a former WBC 108-pound champion. In his first reign as world champion he defended his title 11 times before losing it against Michael Carbajal in a unification bout. Then in a rematch, Gonzalez sensationally won by split decision.
In 2015, Badou Jack became the 168-pound WBC world champion by beating Anthony Dirrell by majority decision. Later, he successfully defended the title against George Groves and Lucian Bute. With his last fight against James DeGeale, he had to settle for a draw. After that match, Jack announced that he will be climbing up a division to light heavy.
Argentina’s Jesús Cuellar became the 126-pound WBA world champion in 2015, after winning by eighth-round TKO, defeating three-time world champion Vic Darchinyan. Before being this Cuellar had victories over Puerto Rico and former world champion Juan Manuel ‘Juanma’ López, ex world champion Rico Ramos of California and world contender Claudio Marrero of the Dominican Republic.
