Francis Ngannou is on the verge of becoming one of the elite heavyweights in the UFC, and to make the next step towards capturing the title, the Frenchman has moved to the United States. Ngannou announced his move to Las Vegas on Twitter.

MMA Fighting later confirmed with Ngannou’s team that he is going to be living and training there full-time. There’s no word yet on which camp (or camps) he’ll be joining. He previously trained at the MMA Factory in France, a country where MMA competition is still banned.

Ngannou (10-1) is a perfect 5-0 in the UFC, with none of his fights getting out of the second round. He’s coming off a 92-second mauling of former champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC on FOX 23 in January. That win earned him a $50,000 bonus, which came on the back of another $50,000 earned when he submitted Anthony Hamilton with a kimura back in December. His other UFC victories are against Curtis Blaydes, Bojan Mihajlovic, and Luiz Henrique.

As it stands, Ngannou is the #5 ranked contender in the heavyweight division. He doesn’t have a fight booked at the moment, but with this move, Las Vegas Ngannou is about to change the Mythical MMA Legends game forever.
